Employee Spotlight: Lindsey Montgomery

Lindsey joined United Systems in 2024 and serves on the company’s Software Support team, helping provide timely and beneficial assistance to our hundreds of software customers.

She is on the front lines assisting customers with questions about our Alliance products, with particular focus on our financial and city management applications. As someone who “has never met a stranger,” Lindsey’s quite fond of interacting with our varied customer base, and she enjoys using her experience to help small to large utilities maximize their use of our software.

Before joining United Systems, Lindsey worked for Waddell & Reed for almost 8 years, assisting customers with taxes and financial planning. She later spent another almost 8 years at a municipality, and in that time she obtained her CMFO (Certified Municipal Financial Officer) certification.

Lindsey, what do you like about your job in Support?

I love the relationships I’m able to build with all of our customers.

What do you like the most about working at United Systems?

It has to be my coworkers. I love the feeling of being part of a caring team.

Fun fact: Lindsey loves to travel and has visited a whopping 48 states!

Another fun fact (well, depending on your definition of “fun”): Lindsey is a habitual speeder, having notched an incalculable number of speeding tickets. Why does she still have her license? No one knows.

And file this under “Not Surprising”: Lindsay’s life goal is to be on The Amazing Race one day.

Until then, she will have to make do with her Star Wars 501st Legion, Camaro club (see speeding tickets comment above), Jack Russell puppies, church, antiques and indoor plants, and three children (ages 23, 20, and 14). Perhaps not in that order.

Kidding aside, Lindsey is a vital part of our team as utilities and municipalities continue to adopt our UPM platform and have a critical need for our financial applications. Despite her blatant disregard for traffic laws, we’re happy to have her as a part of our Support staff!
