Employee Spotlight: Tracy Lowe

Feb 26, 2026 | Employee Spotlight

“Work smarter, not harder”… it’s a phrase Tracy Lowe turns to often when helping United Systems (USS) clients as a Project Manager.

Tracy joined the team in 2019 after 30 years in healthcare technology. Tracy was looking not only for a new challenge and new role, but also a great work environment. She found that at USS.

“The way that you are appreciated is unlike anywhere I’ve been before,” Tracy says.

“You really have input on the future and growth of the company. So much collaboration in the last few years.”

Collaboration is key to USS’s culture and in Tracy’s role as lead of a three-person project team in our Support Department. She’s been involved in at least half of the Alliance conversions as USS updates its software offerings.

Her team coordinates all tasks related to projects, keeps stakeholders informed, and trains and prepares our customers to use the new software.

“I’ve always enjoyed helping people improve processes and find ways to work smarter,” Tracy says. “Our customers have been using Alliance G4 for a long time. So, they’re nervous about moving on to Alliance G5 and UPM. I enjoy being able to show them all the new functionality and how it can work for them.”

Tracy isn’t just a Project Manager. She’s a caregiver to her mother, Kay. She’s a rescuer to her dog, Bernie.

But her most important roles are as a mom and “Gran T.” Her daughter Alexis is an event and wedding planner living outside Memphis with her husband Brandon, a U.S. Army veteran.

Tracy’s son Dalton is a farmer just up the road from USS in Marshall County, Kentucky. He’s married to Hannah, and together they have two children, Mack and Harper.

“Being a mom is my greatest accomplishment. I’m more than proud of the amazing adults they have become,” Tracy says. “But those grandkids may just outrank the kids. It’s also nice to sit back and watch as the grandkids display some of the challenging traits of their parents and laugh.”

Tracy’s husband, John Mark, also gives her a lot of joy. Theirs is a story of finding love later in life and never saying never.

More than a decade after her divorce, Tracy “made a deal with God that if he had intentions of me having a good, healthy, long-term relationship, that would be presented before the end of January 2022.” She explains that she and John Mark had their first date on January 22, 2022, her father’s birthday: “My deadline was almost up, and God presented his answer in the most extraordinary way.”

Both have had their share of life’s challenges and appreciate the people left after weathering the storms.

“I would say our relationship is special because we share the love of family, friends, and God. We accept one another for exactly who we are, and we do not look for perfection. But ultimately, our relationship is special because John Mark loves me for me.”
